From the Safety Director:
Safety is a key part of a successful project.  Our Safety Program uses education, hands on training, and job site inspections to insure that we are doing everything we can to create a safe work site for our employees, other trades and our customers.

EMR Rating
EMR, Experience Modification Rating, or what is referred to as the “mod rating” is a factor that is on the mind of the Safety Department at all times. It is often heard throughout the rest of the organization because of the importance behind it. The EMR is a rating that is calculated by the NCCI, National Council of Compensation Insurance. The NCCI is sent loss data regarding work related injuries by an employer’s insurance carrier. The rating is calculated by the company's losses over the last three years.

Buist Electric's EMR rating:

2007
0.69

EMR Rating Scale:

0.70 to 0.80  Effective
0.80 to 1.05 Fair
